Motorola Xoom Tablet - OFFICIAL

Motorola has officially announced a WiFi edition of the Xoom tablet

The tablet has a 10.1 inch screen which has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The operating system running is Android 3.0 Honeycomb which we have already seen in the original Xoom and on various other tablets that are soon to launch. Powering the device is a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor from NVIDIA. Basically, Motorola are providing the exact same hardware, but without the 3G/4G connection inside.

Other features include 1GB RAM and on the back, a 5 megapixel camera. Reviews of the 3G model were mixed though in that some cases, it was felt to be pushed out of the door too quick with an OS that wasn’t quite up to scratch. Hopefully Google will address these issues in the near future.

The Motorola XOOM will be available for purchase from Verizon Wireless for $600 with a new two-year contract or $800 without a contract. Wireless 3G data service for the Motorola XOOM will begin at $20 per month for 1GB data traffic. The tablet will be software-upgradeable to 4G LTE service at no additional charge in Q2 2011.

Price wise, the 32GB WiFi only model will cost $599. As for the launch date, expect to see it on March 27

The BlackBerry PlayBook is an amazing tablet that is already being widely praised as a multi-tasking powerhouse with an uncompromised Web experience and an ultra-portable design

RIM is making the new tablet device available in over 20,000 locations around the US and Canada

The operating system used is based around QNX that RIM acquired in recent months. The new OS provides a fairly fluid interface as well as powerful multitasking which from our observations, works extremely well.

The technical specs reveal that the PlayBook tablet has a 7 inch screen which has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The screen uses capacitive touch. The processor is a 1GHz dual-core chip. It has 1GB of RAM as well as up to 64GB of storage (prices listed above). It includes front and rear cameras which can capture at 3MP and 5MP respectively. Wireless connectivity is built in of course.

The PlayBook also works as a companion device to a BlackBerry Smartphone. The browser looks to be quite powerful too and includes Adobe Flash as well as HTML5 compatibility.

Verizon iPhone 4 Release In February

After many months of speculation, Verizon has now announced the Verizon iPhone 4. The launch of the iPhone on Verizon marks the end of the almost 4 year exclusivity agreement that Apple had with AT&T.

The iPhone going to the Verizon network has been in testing for about a year now and is capable of connecting to the CDMA network. All the features are practically the same such as FaceTime availability, the Retina Display as well as the insides. The only main difference is the way it connects up, ie its CDMA technology inside.

So that Verizon can handle the network load the smartphone will bring to it, they have increased network capacity.

A few questions have been asked such as why they don’t use LTE technology. Using LTE chips required small design changes to the phone which Apple didn’t want to make. Using LTE would make the roll out longer, so CDMA was opted for on this version of the iPhone.

Expect to hear the exact release date and pricing revealed in the next few days, perhaps weeks.

As for the release date, expect it as early as February.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 Release ?

After a couple of hints over the past month, Samsung has now launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Along with that announcement, Samsung also re-announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both tablets will run the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an 8.9 inch display that has 1280 x 800 pixels. Powering the unit is a 1GHz dual-core processor. The tablet is a little smaller than the iPad (1 and 2) and Samsung have also managed to cram everything in to an 8.6mm unit which also beats the new iPad 2 by a few mm.

An interesting item to find in the technical specs reveals that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has thinned down a little and now measures 8.6mm which also is thinner than the iPad 2.

As for a release date, expect sometime in the summer for the smaller tablet and a release date of June 8 has been given for the launch of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Sony's Bloggie High Defination Pocket Camcoder

Sony's Bloggie (MHS-PM5) is a high definition pocket camcorder

Sony's Bloggie joins the growing ranks of pocket camcorders offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Paired with a 5-megapixel 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor, the Bloggie delivers excellent video quality for a pocket camcorder.

. Depending on your needs, the Bloggie's swivel lens is either a really big bonus (for helping frame harder-to-reach shots or self-portraits) or a needless distraction, because you'll have to correctly position the lens every time you turn on the camcorder. You can leave the lens in position and just power down the Bloggie, but if you slip it into your pocket, it's going to move the lens anyway.

The Bloggie PM5 offers a bare-bones feature set. There isn't much in the menu to get lost in: you'll find settings for adjusting video and still photo resolution, turning face detection on or off and making other basic adjustments.

The Bloggie PM5's built-in software suite is a version of Sony's Picture Motion Browser (PMB), which loads automatically when you connect the Bloggie to a computer via USB. It's simple enough to use for loading videos onto your PC or uploading them from the camcorder to YouTube and other Web hosting sites.

The Sony Bloggie pocket camcoder will be available for $159 - $237

Motorola Droid X-Coming on July 2, 2010

Smart phones are the talk of the town. Every phone company in the US is taking a plunge in this new world. Their efforts are to capture the market. Cut-throat competition exists in the market. Saving a few like Apple, other companies have failed to attract die-hard fans.

The release of Apple iPhone 4 has further heated up the raging smartphone battle. The fourth-generation Apple iPhone has once again got cellphone manufacturers scrambling to offer an iPhone killer.

One of the top contenders on the list is Google Android-powered smartphone Motorola Droid X.

It is the latest smartphone from Google and Motorola to be pitched against iPhone 4 and HTC Evo 4G looks promising. A couple of days back, Verizon launched a teaser site showing the front panel of DroidX with its gigantic 4.3″ screen, 720p video capture and 8MP camera.

Here are some of the phone specifications :
  • 1GHz CPU

Microsof Tablet- Courier - Will be out in 2011

Microsoft Courier was the codename for a rumored Booklet PC from Microsoft. The unit would have contained dual-touchscreens that faced each other in a booklet form factor, and would have utilized a stylus and finger touch for input. Microsoft has announced it did work on the product, but will not release the device

Unlike Apple's rumored tablet, which is assumed to be primarily an entertainment device, Courier's main function will be as a day planner/notebook that allows you to keep track of appointments, to-do lists, and contacts. In addition, Courier is believed to have significant flexibility allowing you to create original drawings and sketches using an application like Microsoft Paint. You will also be able to take notes, snap photos, browse the Web, and clip photos and text from Web pages. Courier may even function as an e-reader, although Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said the company is not interested in producing an e-reader.

Courier is no exception, as it offers a function that allows you to share portions of your journal with colleagues and friends online. When your content appears online, the people you share your journal with will be able to make notes and comments about your content. Once the comments have been entered, they are automatically updated on your Courier device so you can see what your collaborators are saying.

One of the most interesting functions of Courier is its ability to clip content from a Web site and allow you to store and manipulate that information any way you like. Called Clip, Tuck, and Paste, with this function you would be able to clip information from a Web page, and then 'tuck' it underneath Courier's hinge between the two screens. Then, you can flip or search through your Infinite Journal until you find the page you want to store the content in, and then paste the Web clipping into your journal.

The curious new dual-screen tablet has been met with much fanfare on the internet even though Microsoft has yet to demo an actual working unit. It seems as if the device is real and working within Redmond’s walls though, as a Microsoft employee who claims to have seen it states that it’s about the size of a regular paperback book that unfolds to two parallel screens.

So,if you are really intrested in the Courier tablet,Microsoft will release it in 2011

Internet Revolution - 2.3 Million downloads in 24 hours-IE9

Can anybody believe this ? More than 25 downloads per second, more than 250 downloads for every 9 seconds. That is Microsoft.

Internet Explorer, once derided as the laggard among browsers, seems to have gotten a rocket-fuel injection with the release of Internet Explorer 9. It's so fast that one has to wonder.

The release via Windows Update should begin on the 21st of March, with this being the day before the release of the final version of Firefox 4. It will also be interesting to see the download figures recorded by the multiplatform Firefox browser when it is made available.

The world record remains in memories with Firefox 3.0 recording 8 002 530 downloads between the 17th and 18th of June 2008.
Coming to to the speed , performance etc,no doubt its ultimate.

Windows Phone 7 relase in 2012

Windows Phone 7
Microsoft is aware of the fact that , in a developing economies & emerging markets like India, mobile devices with higher prices may not generate the volumes as expected! Microsoft has therefore tied with most active cell phone distribution company in India, Nokia.

For both Nokia and Microsoft, this could be a win-win situation for both as Nokia were struggling with the Symbian platform that seems a couple of generations behind. WP7 should help push it to the front again and with that, Microsoft could also get the boost it needs to catch up with Android and iOS.

Some of the best features of this phone includes Tiles,Hub Strategy,Sexy Apps, Lots of Apps, exciting Games,A Great App Marketplace,Email and so on..

Coming to disadvantages , there is No videocalling ,No Bluetooth file transfers , No USB mass storage mode ,No music player equalisers,No copy/paste ,New ringtones available only through the Marketplace,No internet tethering support..

However, Nokia need to act quick as 2012 is another over 9 months away and a lot can change in that time this day in age.

As far as price is concerned, it will cost around $500-$600 which works out to around INR 25-30000.

Sony PS5 release on 2015

From the cnet reviews, the PlayStation overlord dropped a heavy hint that we'll see the next console hit shelves at the beginning of the next decade.

Extolling the PS4's virtues as a games deck, Kaz said the console would have a lifespan of 10 years, but hinted that its successor could be here sooner than we thought.

"PlayStation 4 is going to be a console that's going to be with you for 10 years," he said, adding "We're not going to ask the consumers to suddenly buy another PlayStation console in five years time, and basically have their investment go by the wayside."

Comparing the lifecycle to that of the original PlayStation, PS2, PS3, Kaz reckons there's room for significant overlap, and although he refused to give direct predictions on the PS5's launch, it's not the first murmur we've heard of its development.

Still, with Sony suffering production troubles with its current next-gen offering, and shortages all but guaranteed for Christmas, it's nice to know they've got their thinking caps on nice and early for the next member of the PlayStation family.

Choose which iPad suits you the best

When it came out last year, nobody knew which iPad to buy. Everybody here got the model they thought would work, but nobody was sure. Now, after spending almost one year with it, we know exactly what we—and you—need

The only people who actually need 3G connectivity are:
  •  those who commute a lot and don't have a Wi-Fi connection in their trains or buses and
  •  those who really need to be connected at any time in any place, in the middle of a park, a road or the street c) those who travel a lot without a laptop internationally or domestically
  •  those who don't live in dense urban areas without Wi-Fi everywhere
  •  people who think an extra $130 is not too much to pay for insurance to have it when you do hit the road and think tethering to a smartphone or Wi-Fi hotspot is too annoying to do every time you need to have a connection.

The other deciding factor is the GPS. None of us have used the iPad for true GPS location services. In cities, Wi-Fi geographical positioning works perfectly well. Those who need real GPS in the car or trekking may need an iPad 3G. However, a smartphone will serve that function better than the iPad, since they are smaller, lighter, and their form factor and screen size is good both for cars and walking

The other major consideration is cost.
AT&T's plans are simple: 250MB for $15/month, or 2GB for $25/month, though overages will screw you more with pre-paid plans vs. post-paid. Verizon offers a broader range of options, and gives you a better deal if you're going to be using more data: 1GB for $20/month; 3GB for $35/month; 5GB for $50/month; 10GB for $80/month. Quick summary: If you are gonna just a little bit of data, AT&T is a better deal, but if you're going to use a lot, Verizon is a better deal.

Nokia N* VS iPhone 4

Now in the market of smart phones, iPhone, also with other Apple devices are too hot, and most of the people think there is no other product could challenge the position of Apple iPhone. But actually it is not the case.Below we would have a simple review and comparison to find out more features of the two hot devices.

Nokia N8: Hardware Impresses, but Software failed to make a positive impact :

The new Nokia N8 is the Finnish company’s first successful touchscreen phone. It’s neat, good-looking and has a battery that will take you safely from one day to the next. You’ll probably still want to recharge it overnight just to be sure, but our tests saw it last happily into a second and even a third day between charges. Plus, it’s a Nokia, and has a hugely familiar operating system that’s intuitive and simple, so there’s only the gentlest new-interface learning curve.

In fact, the system has been greatly improved from earlier touchscreen versions so it’s less erratic and more accessible. The phone’s anodised aluminium casing is solid and businesslike, especially in the dark grey and silver colour options (lime green not so much). It’s no slouch in the features department: a class-leading 12-megapixel camera with Xenon flash means you can rely on it if your job entails taking site-visit photographs or high-quality video. Even better, thanks to a mini-HDMI socket and supplied cable you can painlessly play back the video or photographs on a full-size flatscreen TV, say – handy for presentations. And when you’re on the road, the excellent BBC iPlayer application will mean you can play back last night’s EastEnders on the hotel room TV.

Nokia has top class push-email features – though BlackBerry is still the gold standard here and many users will still prefer the convenience of a real keyboard instead of a touchscreen version. Overall, though, this is a powerful smartphone which will serve business users well.

iPhone 4G -The iPhone 4.0 is too hot today. Many refer to it as the Apple iPhone 4G, but that term is actually incorrect. Regardless, you are probably wondering if the smartphone is worth its value. First, lets consider the iPhone 4 cost. To upgrade from your current AT&T plan, the price is $199.99 for a 16 GB unit and $299.99 for a 32 GB unit. However, if you don’t currently have an AT&T contract, the price of an unlocked iPhone 4 without a contract is $599.99 and $699.99 for a 16 GB and 32 GB respectively. Ultimately, if you are upgrading, the price generally isn’t a huge concern. Now let’s take a look at some of the iPhone 4 features. Probably the most notable is the video calling, which allows you to video conference with a contact who also has the model. While this feature is definitely an example of superior technological innovation, not every smartphone consumer has an iPhone 4. The 960 x 640 resolution makes the interface of the model eye-catching. Videos can be recorded in HD, and the display of the model is probably better than that of your own personal computer. At the same time, don’t fail to realize that the iPhone 4 battery life is going to take a hit with the display of these distinguished graphics.

Lenovo IdeaPad U1

There has been a lot of pondering about exactly which niche the tablet PC will fit into in today's tech-centric mobile world. At this year's CES trade show in Las Vegas, Lenovo hopes to answer many of those questions by merging the familiarity of a laptop and the convenience and portability of a tablet PC into one package.

The demo unit is running Android 2.2 with a custom Lenovo interface on top. This is how the LePad tablet and U1 Hybrid combo will be sold in China, but when the devices launch in the US later this year, the tablet will run Android Honeycomb with full support for Android tablets.

The complete U1 Hybrid weighs about 4 pounds, while the tablet weighs less than 2 pounds.

Apple Iphone 5

iPhone has always been the talk of the town due to Apple’s brilliant marketing strategies and a great fan following. iPhone 4 has not even reached various markets, even after 1.5 million sales on the very first day of being made available to the public.
Here is the iPhone4 successor the iPhone5

Previously, we’d heard rumours about an A5 dual-core processor in iPhone 5, and now according to the discovery of @FilippoBiga in the recently released iOS 4.3 SDK, it has been confirmed that the Apple iPhone 5 will have an A5 dual-core processor.

The iPhone 4 uses a single core A4 processor, which is exactly similar to the one in the original iPad as well as the 4th gen iPod touch. So its not hard to comprehend that we shall see the A5 processor introduced in the iPad 2, in the iPhone 5.

The reference to the A5 dual-core processor in the iPhone 5 was found in iOS 4.3 SDK, N94 kernel files to be exact. Presumably, N94 is the codename for the Apple iPhone 5.

But An industry analyst says that the iPhone 5 won't debut this summer like everyone is expecting, but supposedly has been delayed several months. If true, this move could have a significant effect on the entire smartphone industry.

Google Nexus 3

The Google Nexus One is definitely one hot  Andriod device which pretty much goes to show how Google wants Android to be officially presented and run.
It’s a intuitive handset having five customizable home screens with animated backgrounds. It also provides slick speech recognition capabilities.
Nexus is now integrated with most of the software services provided by Google. Nexus One represent itself as a search giant’s first expansion in the world of e- commerce and hardware.
Although that some well-publicized customer service issues come up with the device, still it remains among those ionic customer electronics which are at top of the list throughout the year.

Ipad

Companies such as Samsung Electronics and Dell Inc are already selling tablets, but neither seems to have slowed the iPad's momentum.

Apple set a high bar with the first iPad, so the company will have a harder time creating a "wow-factor" with the second iteration. It sold nearly 15 million iPads in 2010 after an April launch

Apple is selling the iPad through its authorised resellers and partner stores across the country, an India-based company spokesperson told Reuters.

Customers have the option to buy an iPad with 16, 32 or 64 giga bytes of memory and can choose a model that works only on Wi-Fi or on both Wi-Fi and 3G.

Apple has priced the iPad in India between Rs27,900 rupees and Rs44,900 ,depending on the model.
The 64 GB iPad model that operates on both Wi-Fi and 3G costs Rs44,900, according to Apple's website.

India is the world's second biggest mobile market after China with 730 million mobile customers, but the price-sensitive market is still small in base for sales of smart phones.

Nokia E7

Mobile phones major, Nokia is set to launch its all-in-one smart phone Nokia E7 in the Indian market soon.

The E7 has the same design language as the Nokia N8 model.

It has 8 megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash and 720p video recording @ 25fps and many more good specifications.

But there are some disadvantages in this phone.
Symbian3 is still behind Android and iOS usability standards  and the Camera interface is decidedly outdated,No microSD card slot.
This  E7 smartphone will be available for Rs35K per handset across India
